What is wrong with me?

I could blame the house but I won’t.  I have let Halloween pass by me this year. SHAME ON ME.  I usually take the day off and spend it with my kids.  But with the time off I took for my back, the house and my mom coming to visit last weekend I just simply forgot or figured I have no more vacation time.  I also usually spend this time bombarding my blogger with Halloween facts, fun and spooky posts.  Not this year.  This is still my favorite time of the year and I guess I will have to make it up next year.  I am not sure if its burn out  or writers block but it just seems like lately I haven’t wanted or needed to blog.  I still lurk and read other people blogs.  I usually read them from my phone which makes it hard to comment.  I am hoping to spit out a few blogs before Halloween.  I just need to get the blogger bug again…lol

I hope everyone is enjoying their fall.  I love this time of year, jeans so you don’t have to shave as much, jackets, Starbucks hot coffee because I am not an addict, Fuzzy  socks, Fuzzy blankets so I can hide under it and avoid housework,  lazy days snuggling with the fuzzy dogs, and seeing the fall colors.  I could do with out the crazy stink bug infestations and lady bug invasion.  Even the dogs don’t want to eat them…lol

More Google Search and how you found my blog

• gunshot hole in pillow~ why does that sound like one of my as the redneck world turns posts?  Hmm well the summer isn’t over yet.
• pig money box~ that’s just weird …what the heck is that?  A piggy bank that can box?  Or money that drops out of some pig’s box.  No idea
• People eating candy and falling asleep~  first off why are you searching that combination?  Who falls asleep while eating candy.  Especially if it’s chocolate.  I am going to stay wide awake it all of it and look for more.
• Falling asleep at work pictures~  well no such luck on this blog.  I am usually bitching about being over worked.  Then again maybe I am talking about some of the prn lazy nurses we have.  That might be a possibility

New Look

Okay I still wanted the scary look but without all the gore.  What do you think?  Unfortunately I can't figure out what I did to my twitter feed that is all in white.  I have tried re-installing the plug in but to no avail it had failed.  Any ideas?  I think it looks a little brighter and not so drab.  Can everyone read the text ok?

I was just filtering the comments on my own but lately I have been receiving so many spam comments daily it's driving me insane. If you want to leave a comment an identity will be required. How you found me on Blogger

So my friend at Southerndysfunction wrote a blog about how people use key words or sites to find your blog.  First I want to thank at your cervix for all the traffic because apparently most of my viewer come from that site.  Awesome.  I love that blog.  Anyway the main reason I am typing this blog is for the key words in how some people stumble on my site.  Here goes

1. Redneck Easter/ redneck Easter basket. ~which is a lovely picture of my brother in law using a beer box for his son’s Easter basket
2. Clothes squishing boobs in ~ really?  I don’t remember ever talking about that subject.  I don’t usually have that problem.  Now squishing gut into jeans.  That’s more like a subject you might find in this blog
3. Herpes on balls~  OMG really you typed that and my blog came up?  I don’t recall that subject.  Unless you are talking about my ex sister in law and what she might be spreading to her man’s balls…muahhaha
4. People wearing PJ’s to Wal-Mart ~ yup one of my biggest pet peeves.  That I do recall ranting about at least a 100 times
5. Agitated patient ~ more like aggravating patients…but okay sure
6. Creepy girl clown and clown spawn- that is really weird since clowns really freak me out.

Trying out the New google+ and blogger combo

I found out that you can link your google plus with your blogger.  The only thing I can't figure out is how the heck do I get my blog posts to link to my google plus so that my followers on google plus can see when I have new post up.  If anyone knows how to do this please let me know.  Right now i have to paste the link in the share box.  I lost alot of followers when I shut down my old account.  I had some people who found it that shouldn't have. So i had to end my livingdeadnurse alias and create my new one.  Help I need more traffic to my blog.  Any suggestions?  I am hoping that maybe if I had more audience i might be more compelled to type more often.  Or so I hope that is if work will let me.  Course another reason I haven't blogged in awhile is because I love to read too.  Unfortunately I cannot do both.  Such limited time I have anymore.  Plus trying to get on this weight loss kick.  So there is time for the gym too...ugh i know when I was younger I was in many activities.  How in the world I ever juggled so many is beyond me.   So tell me those that have over 200 followers how the heck do you do it?

Life goes on

Okay blogger let's try not to eat this post this time.
Like I tried to post earlier here goes again...retyped grr

Anyway it's not like I am getting bored of blogging it's more like life goes on. You look at your last post and say really has it been that long? Apparently it has. I have just been really busy with work. They are trying to kill the nurses that are still hanging on. We have lost a lot of good season nurses to the competition who is paying nurses more. Why work this hard when you can get more money somewhere else. That or they don't want to work and out looking for jobs that require less effort and the same wages. Bad thing is even with them giving 2 or 3 week notices the company can't get the holes filled fast enough. Meaning the remaining staff is working overtime and ore 12 hour shifts. Sucks since the government take most of your hard earned money. I think they shouldn't be allowed to tax as Much if you are working more than 40 hours a week. Did I mention I don't want overtime???? I think that they shouldn't be able make you work more if you don't want too. Aggravating. In fact I would really prefer to cut back if possible. Kids grow up fast and money isn't everything.

Blogging on the go

So like I mentioned in my earlier posts I decided to go with an iPad. I actually had to create an alternative blog on Wordpress because I wanted to be able to blog on the go and they had an app for that. I didn't think blogger did until now. There is this great app call blog press. Where I can actually blog from my iPad and post to my blog. I am really excited about this since I will be able to hopefully blog more and in the moment. Especially while at work when the crazies come in. Course it won't be till I go on lunch but it still sooner than waiting for my day off. I didn't think that I would like the keyboard on my iPad but it's surprisingly accurate. Of Course it can not help thought process. Which nine times out of ten is fast than my fingers causing my sentences to be missing words. Hey I thought it I can't help that my fingers can keep up. Anyway I can also comment back easier on comments so I hope to be commenting back quicker. Instead of months later. Plus I can now read your blogs on the go!!!! Meaning I can lurk easier on those blogs I love most. Happy blogging all.

Happy Gobble Gobble day.

So I thought I would wish my readers a wonderful thanksgiving.  Please pray for me as I embark on my annual in law get together.  Last year I lucked out and had to work.  Though I heard it was drama free.  Never fails the ex sister in law send her current husband’s kid to our family get together.  Who the heck sends their step kids to their ex’s house?  Messed up ones.  But any way.  I wanted to share some funny pics I found relating to Thanksgiving and the dreaded black Friday.  Are any of you trekking out to the stores on this crazy shopping day?  I did one year.  Words of advice don’t wear a coat no matter how cold it’s outside.  Because it 100 degrees in the store and of course you can’t have a buggy because that will just slow you down.  So hauling everything in your arms with a thick hot winter coat and starving half to death will just guarantee that you will pass out.  Not a good thing since you may get trampled and picked over by the vultures that are hoping you might drop that last pair of hot pink fuzzy pj pants that you got for your niece.  You know they want to wear that next year to Wal-Mart.  I will be sleeping as everyone else runs around trying to get that last lala loopsy crazy hair doll.   I will be working that night in the ER.  I can help stitch and supple crutches to the winner of the next new toy.So hope everyone has a drama free thanksgiving.

I haven’t heard of it.   Tj not sure what Re-animator is either.  Thanks for all the ideas.  I will make it easier to decided what to watch.  I found a Nazi zombie movie that we had not seen.  Plus the kids haven’t seen Walking dead and I just bought the first season on blu-ray.  I am thinking about Texas chainsaw.  I think it will scare the crap out of them…lol  Muahah!

New blog: All about the alias

So I have decided to leave my old website and start a new one to avoid,just in case, issues with my job.  Not that I don’t use hipaa guidelines or that they really don’t have a case. I just don’t need the drama at work.  So back to the drawing board I went.  I have had many alias in the past or pennames.  This one being a new one created.  I even gave one of my old alias to my former assistant blogger. Nursebiteme.  Not that I think that she would ever rat me out.  I just wasn’t taking any chances when she decided to back out of helping.  It took forever to come up with a new name that would relate some how to nursing yet horror.  Since I love all that is Horror.  Living was more of my Zombie addiction.  When I had MySpace back when it was the cool thing to have I could change my name with a drop of a hat.  I could change my layout to suit that alias, attitude or hell personality.  Nursebite me = my vampire addiction.  When I wanted girly I had Nursebutterfly.  When I was edgy I had NurseNeedles.  I love Alice in wonderland, the book or movie.  I did my whole layout dedicated to wonderland which led to the name Nursewonderland.  Nurseridinghood had a duel personality when I started riding my motorcycle and the fact I love to read.  Then there was Nursebones…yea I was reaching by this point.  But  Nursenightmare…is my newest alias.  Why nursenightmare?  Well somedays the ER can be your worse nightmare…or piss me off and I become your worse nightmare…lol  But most of all its dedicated to my all time favorite slasher movies…Nightmare on Elm street…hence the name Nursenightmare on trauma drama street.  Because no matter where you work at there is drama and my just happens to be where there’s trauma.  I want to thank all of those that emailed me to get my new site address.  I really had no clue who was reading or following me.  It’s great to know my journal of my life is worth a read.  And please if your new and have a blog let me know.  I love reading other blogs to…just realize that I am one of those lurker types too.
